HCESD #20 is a taxing entity formed by the voters in 1984 to provide funding for fire suppression, prevention, and rescue services in the area currently served by Northwest Volunteer Fire Department. The 5 person board consists of individuals who live and pay taxes in the HCESD #20 jurisdiction and are responsible to oversee the spending of the tax money. They are elected to their positions for four year terms.
